Connecting Printers

To set up a printer, you need to turn off the system's power.
You may want to read through all of the instructions before beginning.

  1. Connect the printer to your system using the information in the printer's manual and in your system owner's guide.
  2. Power on the printer, then power on the system.
  3. Choose Printer Manager from the System Toolchest.
  4. Choose , fill in the information that the Printer Manager requests, then click the OK button.
  5. When the printer is ready for use, an icon labeled with its name appears in the Printer Manager.

Designating a Default Printer

  1. From the System Toolchest, roll over to Printer Manager.
  2. With the left mouse button, choose a printer.
  3. Choose

Printing Files

  1. Select the file icon to be printed with the left mouse button.
  2. From the Selected toolchest, roll over to Print.

Here is an alternative method of printing a file:

  1. From the System Toolchest roll over to Printer Manager.
  2. Click the printer icon you want to send the file to and drag it from the Printer Manager window onto the desktop.
  3. Click the file you wish to print and drag it onto the printer icon that is resting on the desktop.
