The Dumpster

The dumpster serves as a holding place for discarded files.

Placing a File in the Dumpster
  1. With the cursor, select the file you want to remove and drag it to the dumpster. The dumpster turns blue when the file icon is within its bounds.

  2. Release the left mouse button to drop the file into the dumpster.

Emptying the Dumpster
  1. Select the dumpster icon with the left mouse button.

  2. Hold down the right mouse button and choose Empty Dumpster from the menu that appears.

Note: Remember that if you forget to empty the dumpster, the files remain there and take up disk space.
