Screen Saver Activity

This activity lead syou through the process of changing your screen saver.

  1. From the Desktop Toolchest, choose Customize then Screen Saver.
  2. The Screen Saver control panel gives you the option to:
    • choose from a list of screen savers
    • preview the screen saver
    • set password control access
    • toggle the screen saver on and off
  3. Click the check box to activate the screen saver.
  4. Choose Octahedra from the list of screen savers.
  5. Click to see your screen saver in action. To stop, simply move the mouse.

Desktop Background Activity

This activity leads you through the process of changing your desktop background.

  1. From the Desktop Toolchest, choose Customize then Background.
  2. Choose Twilight from the list of backgrounds.
  3. Click to see your new desktop background.
    • You may need to temporarily minimize some of your windows to see the change.
  4. Choose Nebula from the list.
  5. Click again.
  6. Click , then confirm to go back to your original background.

Window Color Schemes Activity

This activity leads you through the process of changing the Window Color Schemes for your application programs. All changes made to schemes affect only programs invoked after you have changed to a different scheme.

  1. From the Desktop Toolchest, choose Customize then Color Schemes.
  2. Choose Pacific from the list of color schemes.
    • The preview window should give you an idea how the result will look.
  3. Click to activate the new color scheme.
  4. Close and confirm.
  5. Reinvoke the Color Scheme browser by choosing Customize then Color Schemes from the Desktop Toolchest.
  6. The new Color Scheme Browser runs with your new color scheme.
  7. Click , choose Factory Settings, then confirm to go back to the original color scheme.
